Forbes Global 2000 List - Chinese Bank ICBC Knocks US Oil Giant Exxon Mobil: In the latest data released for Forbes Global 2000 list, Chinese bank ICBC topped the banking scene for the first time, even knocking down US's oil giant Exxon Mobil.

In the second spot, another Chinese bank took the pedestal in the list - China Construction Bank, followed by JPMorgan Chase (US), General Electric (US) and Exxon Mobil (US).

According to Forbes list editor Scott DeCarlo, this year's listing shows the dynamism in the global business.

China's ICBC was able to bring in the house some "$37.8 billion in profits on $2.8 trillion in assets last year". CCB on the other hand got "$30.6 billion on $2.2 trillion in assets".

  1. Industrial & Commercial Bank of China (ICBC), China – Banking
  2. China Construction Bank, China – Banking
  3. JPMorgan Chase, United States – Banking
  4. General Electric, United States – Conglomerate
  5. Exxon Mobil, United States – Oil & Gas Operations
Meanwhile, Forbes highlighted 3 Asian countries that showed impressive growth in the industry. These countries are Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia.
