Monument of Dolphy to be Revealed This Month -- A monument for the Philippine's King of Comedy Dolphy is bound for revelation this month of April, somewhere along Roxas Boulevard (in front of the Museo Pambata near the US Embassy), said Manila Mayor Alfredo Lim.
At the moment, the state is underway to completion, along with the statue of action king Fernando Poe, Jr. (FPJ).

According to Engineer Moises Alcantara, Dolphy's monument is made up of bronze hot cast antique material and is measuring 7-feet tall. It is weighing around 300 kgs.

Museo Pambata was a beneficiary of the RVQ Foundation, which was established by Dolphy himself in 1966.

Dolphy recieved the awards "Outstanding Manilan" in 2010 and "Diwa ng Lahi" award in 2012, courtesy of the Manila City Hall during a foundation anniversary celebration.

Dolphy grew up in Manila and started his career as a dancer.
