Microsoft to Make Touch Enabled Smartwatch With 1.5in Screen -- Is Microsoft joining the wearable technology bandwagon? Well, it could be. A piece of event would tell us that sometime in 2004, the US company already experimented on the gadget. It was called "SPOT", short for Smart Personal Object Technology. Unfortunately, the project was pulled last year.

Microsoft Smartwatch on the Way! Reportedly, Microsoft had asked some Asian suppliers to ship 1.5in displays for a potential watch-based device.

Perhaps Microsoft's version of a Smart watch is just right on the dot to join the craze, seeing Nike already got its "FuelBand" - a wearable bling that can measure one's physical exercise. Similar devices can even recieve text messages, alert the owner for incoming calls, Tweets and emails.

Google, the search giant also has the move to optimize its Android software to produce a Smartwatch, to battle against Apple and Samsung.
