Winston Ginez is the New LTFRB Chief -- Served as private prosecutor during the impeachment trial of the then Chief Justice Renato Corona, Winston Ginez replaces LTFRB chief Jaime Jacob. The former chief decided to resign last March due to expression of inability to deliver the right service that is entrusted upon him.
From this time on, the new chief will be the person to overlook at the regulation of Philippine's land transportation and public transport franchising.

It is by law that appointments are suspended during every elections but the Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) applied for an exception; The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) subsequently approved such.

What makes Ginez as the right person to be the chief of LTFRB? Here is a glimpse of his credentials as per information published by GMA News:
  • A certified public accountant
  • practicing lawyer (3rd placer, 1995 Bar Exam) / San Beda College of Law
  • Specializes in corporate law, contract and commercial arbitration
  • Served as VP for legal and corporate affairs of the Pacific Ace Group of Companies
Chief Ginez will be taking his oath of office on tomorrow (Thurs), according to Malacanang.
