June 13 Class Suspensions announced

Afternoon classes suspension announced for certain schools in Manila area on June 13 -- Due to reported ankle to knee-deep floods in some parts of Manila, specially the stretch of Espana, at least six (6) schools suspended their afternoon classes to avoid possible inconveniences. These schools are:
  • University of Sto. Tomas
  • Far Eastern University
  • San Beda College
  • Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila
  • Adamson University
  • UP Manila
Around 3 PM, the Metro Manila Development Authority or MMDA issued floods alerts along Espana Avenue.
About a week ago, PAGASA issued a warning to Visayas and Minadanao regions to watch out for rains and floods due to a developing low pressure area (LPA). It had special notes that Luzon may still be affected.
