Matt Serra out as Chris Weidman corner man for health and family reasons

Matt Serra is supposed to stand as the corner man for Chris Weidman (9-0), the no.1 contender against Anderson Silva (33-4) in UFC 162; Due to health reasons and the birth of his new child, the former welterweight champion shall be staying home instead.
Serra will be in Long Island, New York during the fight day. Replacing him will be Weidman's father.

Constituting Weidman's corner are Ray Longo, John Danaher, UFC light-heavyweight, Gian Villante, and his father.

UFC 162 will be taking place on July 6, 2013 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

According to Ray Longo, one of Weidman's corner people:
Knock on wood, everything’s great ..he guy is healthy. He’s looking good. We’ve brought in great sparring partners and he’s ready to go. I think the cards are aligning in the right spots.
