Nelson Mandela ambulance broke down on the way to hospital

Civic right leader Nelson Mandela is set for transportation to a hospital but his ambulance broke down, unfortunately. Mandela remains "serious but stable" according to latest news and updates.
According to Presidential spokesman Mac Maharaj, "Madiba", a clan name and is also being used as an address of affection, sustained no harm due to the incident.

Maharaj added:
We confirm the media reports that the military ambulance transporting Madiba had an engine problem on the 8th and that the doctors are satisfied that the former president suffered no harm during this period
When the ambulance experienced engine problems it was decided that it would be best to transfer to another military ambulance which itself was accompanied for the rest of the journey by a civilian ambulance
All care was taken to ensure that the former president Mandela's medical condition was not compromised by the unforeseen incident.
94 year old former President Nelson Mandela is "recovering well", according to his grandson. From his daughter, Mandela is "doing very well". So far, this has been the latest on Mandela's health condition.
