Kidnapped Chinese Businesswoman Sally Chua rescued in Davao

Business woman Sally Chua was kidnapped in Quezon City and then taken to Davao City to do the payoff for the ransom. There, she was forced to withdraw from her bank account a huge amount of P15 million from Allied Bank.
In a pursue and rescue operation, Davao Police forces and a team from Metro Manila intercepted the kidnappers while on board three brand new Montero SUVs.

A shootout took place. Two of the kidnappers were killed while the third one was captured. The rest of the members of the kidnap gang are now being chased by the authorities.

According to Region 11 police director, Chief Superintendent Jaime Morente, the victim Sally Chua even suggested that the payoff shall be done in Davao City. The kidnappers were clueless what could be waiting for them in Davao City.

Later, the aftermath of the shootout was posted in the official Facebook account of Vice Mayor Pulong Duterte. It was captioned "Sa mga kriminal, kung gusto ninyo mamatay, testingi ang dabaw" (To the criminals, if you want to die, test Davao).

Mayor Duterte is mountain-firm in his stance against criminality. This is perhaps one of the ingredients making Davao City one of the safest in the country.
