MMDA proposes to expand number coding to 2 days per week

News has it today that Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Chairman Tolentino is set to meet with the Metro Manila Council, set on July 24, to to discuss the proposed expansion of number coding scheme in the Metro to two (2) days in a week.
The Metro Manila Council is constituted by Metro Manila mayors, Metro Manila congressmen, plus other officials, including Transportation and Communications Secretary Joseph Emilio Abaya and Public Works and Highways Secretary Rogelio Singson.

The propsed number coding scheme will be banning of cars with plate numbers ending in:

1, 2, 3, 4 - Mondays
5, 6, 7, 8 - Tuesdays
9, 1, 0, 2 - Wednesdays
3, 4, 5, 6 - Thursdays
7, 8, 9, 0 - Fridays
