If you can remember, Sweet Caroline was used as an unofficial anthem for the Red Sox since 1997. Moreover, the song has been played in every eighth inning of the game since 2002.

This time around, the song was used to give dedication to the victims of Boston Marathon bombings. And with all surprises, last night was the first time ever that Sweet Caroline was performed live.

Other songs played after the live singing of Neil are Metallica's "Enter Sandman" and "Freedom Song", Diamond's latest single.
