Paula Deen's Next Cookbook Cancelled

Celebrity chef Paula Deen received a multibook contract cancellation from her publisher, allegedly due to the use of a racial slur.

Paula Deen's publisher Ballantine Books said on Friday that it will not release the chef's "Paula Deen's New Testament: 250 Favorite Recipes, All Lightened Up" on it scheduled roll out month, which is October.

The publisher said:
The celebrity chef, who's been suffering from a raft of bad press, has had her first book with Random House, Paula Deen's New Testament: 250 Favorite Recipes, All Lightened Up, canceled. The title was to be released by Random's Ballantine Books imprint in October. 
Random House, which released a brief statement on Friday, said the decision came 'after careful consideration.
Since the issue broke out, there has been news that some publishing companies decided to cut their ties with Deen. The companies are the following: Sears, J.C. Penney, Walgreen, Wal-Mart, Target, Home Depot, Novo Nordisk, Smithfield Foods, Caesars Entertainment and The Food Network.

Paula Deen is also cut from appearing on QVC, a home shopping network. It even said it will be phasing out Deen's sales of products.
