Vietnamese ship still stuck on Albay shore

Efforts are currently being undertaken to remove a Vietnamese ship stuck on Albay Shore, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) told reporters yesterday.
MV Minh Tuan 68
PCG said, the Vietnamese cargo vessel was swept by waves brought by tropical storm Gorio.

According to Commodore Aaron Reconquista, PCG Bicol district commander, his team is having difficulties in removing the 2,999-gross ton MV Minh Tuan 68 off Albay shores.

MV Minh Tuan 68 got buried in 2 feet of sand. Due to low tide, the towing was cancelled at 2:15 PM.

Additionally, the said boat has been seized by the Bureau of Customs (BoC) because of its attempt to unload over 90k bags of smuggled rice sometime in September.
