13 dead in Mexico mudslides

Our condolences go to the victims of mudslides in Mexico, which occurred on Monday after a tropical storm reigned over the state of Veracruz.
Storm Fernand brought in heavy rains that eventually flooded the streets of Yecuatla, Tuxpan and Atzalan. At least, sixteen (16) mudslides took place in the selected towns of the said state, thereby causing damages to some 22 municipalities.

At the moment, more than 400 people are being sheltered by temporary evacuation centers.

Storm Fernand is Mexico's fifth weather phenomenon this year.

Mexico is bracing for some more batches of inclement weather conditions as the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration predicted 13 to 19 storms, including 6 to 9 hurricanes.
