Ban on commemorative car plates declared

The government through the Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) declared the ban on special car plates, as all of them are supposed to expire on July 31.
So apparently, all plates displayed on vehicles after the said date are considered invalid. Motorists caught violating such directive will be arrested.
That's what the DOTC has informed us, as far as the advisory of the Land Transportation Office (LTO) is concerned.

Again, all special plates / commemorative plates displayed by any car, from today and onwards are actually illegal and is subject for apprehension.

For more information or details, please do your best to confirm with the LTO yourself. For reference, here is a relevant article published by the Inquirer on August 23.
