Tropical Storm Ivo threatens Baja California coast

Mexico’s Baja California coast is under the threat of a tropical storm named "Ivo". Tropical storm warnings are now sent across the affected areas.
AccuWeather Inc - Storm Ivo on Sunday
Storm Ivo was last seen south-southwest of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, at least 265 miles (425 kilometers) away. Its maximum winds was recorded as 45 miles per hour, while moving towards north at 6 miles per hour.

Ivo is the 9th storm to sweep over the eastern Pacific in its "Hurricane Season". The Baja Peninsula may succumb to rains of about 5 inches in depth, as per hurricane center latest published data.

There will be flash floods as well, said expert senior meteorologist with AccuWeather Inc., Bob Smerbeck.
We’re concerned for Phoenix, Las Vegas, Yuma and that whole Colorado River valley. It’s good to get the rain but it’s not good to get it too fast.
Areas where tropical warnings were sent:
  • Punta Abreojos to Punta Eugenia on the Pacific coast, Cabo San Lucas
The Gulf of Mexico is also under watch as it has got the possibility of acquiring a tropical disturbance in the next five days.
