US First Lady Michelle Obama to Release a Hip Hop Album

You read that right! The US First Lady is set to release a Hip Hop album as part of her campaign named "Let's Move!" to fight childhood obesity.
In doing so, Michelle Obama partnered with hip hop artists Run DMC, Ashanti, Doug E. Fresh, Monifah and American Idol winner Jordin Sparks to produce and release a 19-song compilation to encourage kids to exercise and eat healthy foods.

Obama's album will be called "Songs for a Healthier America" and it will also feature Matisyahu, Ariana Grande and Blink-182′s Travis Barker. New York Knicks’ Iman Schumpert and Nils Lofgren of Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band will also be contributing to the said music collection.

Some of the tracks in the album are songs such as "We Like Vegetables", "Veggie Luv", "Get Up Sit Up" and "U R What You Eat". Music videos will also be released for distribution to schools in New York.

Michelle Obama will not be uttering any rhymes or rap lines to that effect but she will be appearing in at least two music videos. Here is the first one - "Everybody" music video.
In the video above are Jordin Sparks, Doug E. Fresh, Dr. Oz, the Hip Hop Doc and of course, an appearance by the First Lady.

Do you think this idea is cool? What are your thoughts on this campaign? Choice of artists for the collaboration?
