4 Minute Workout by Coach Jim Saret [VIDEO]

coach-jim-saretSuddenly, the quest or perhaps a revisit to a certain 4 Minute Workout by Coach Jim Saret came to mind, coming from a marketing summit we've attended yesterday. All of us were like, "What? A 4-minute work out and that's it to lose weight quick?" Coach Jim Saret was more than enough to confirm to us that what he has just shared really works in real life.

Coach Jim Saret was the person responsible for the remarkable winning of Mr. Larry Martin, a former Police Officer, in "The Biggest Loser Pinoy Edition" in 2011. The season went on for 19 weeks with 19 contestants divided into two (2) teams.

Hidden in the TV shows are what Jim Saret really introduced to his team members in order to become strong and winning bets. According to Saret himself, his 4 minute workout made a member of his team take home the ultimate prize.

Without further ado, here goes the video of the 4 Minute Workout by Coach Jim Saret:
So basically, all you will be doing are the following:
  1. Body weight squats - 10 reps
  2. Push ups - 10 reps
  3. Leg lunges - 10 reps for each leg
  4. Crunches - 25 reps
During the speech of Coach Jim Saret, he mentioned that if a person does have the time, he/she may do some simple warm up exercises, like jumping jacks and the like. Then items 1 to 4 can be done afterwards.

Coach Saret's 4 Minute Workout does not really ask a person to stretch as the sequences are very basic in nature. The simple system is estimated to burn 600 calories, compared to a rigorous hours of exercise with only around a hundred or two calories in total burn.

Update: A few hours ago, I got a Tweet referring to this post as a BS promotion. The author argues that you can't burn 600 calories with Coach Jim Saret's workout program, as listed herein. While I am not a Physical Education person, I rest the case to Coach Saret and hereby point you to the link where you can read ER Kings (https://twitter.com/erNorCal) arguments and references.
