Indonesia Clerics, hardliners ask to cancel Miss World 2013

Sept. 3 (Tuesday) - Indonesian protesters took the streets of Jakarta to ask the government to cancel the conduct of Miss World 2013.
Islamic hardliners brought banners bearing the messages "Reject Miss World", "Miss World Go to Hell" and "Boycott Miss World sponsors" among many others. About 150 people showed up in the protest to air their religious concerns.

Chairman of radical group Indonesian Council of Mujahideen said:
We call for war against Miss World. We urge the Indonesian government to call off the Miss World event
This has been the call in the world's muslim-majority nation.

An ever larger demonstration will be staged outside Jakarta on September 28, should Miss World pushes through as planned.
