JK Rowling to make new Harry Potter spin-off

It will be a debut in screenwriting for JK Rowling as she looks into making a spin-off out of her Harry Potter stories. Her work underway is titled "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" - it's rather a text book dedicated for the pupils at Hogwarts school.
This film will then, be based on the  fictitious author of the said wizardry scholastic reference, Newt Scamander.

"Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" will be the first as part of a planned series of films by Rowling. As she wrote in her Facebook page:
It all started when Warner Bros came to me with the suggestion of turning Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them into a film.
As I considered Warners' proposal, an idea took shape that I couldn't dislodge. That is how I ended up pitching my own idea for a film to Warner Bros.
This spin-off material is neither a prequel nor a sequel to the Harry Potter series, JK Rowling clarified.
Although it will be set in the worldwide community of witches and wizards where I was so happy for 17 years, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is neither a prequel nor a sequel to the Harry Potter series, but an extension of the wizarding world.
The laws and customs of the hidden magical society will be familiar to anyone who has read the Harry Potter books or seen the films, but Newt's story will start in New York, 70 years before Harry's gets under way.
If you are a die hard fan or maybe a huge follower of JK Rowling, you would probably love tuning into the development to happen for this target blockbuster entry in the coming years or so.
