Atimonan accident sent 3 bus firms to suspension

The three (3) bus firms involved in the recent Atimonan accident, which killed at least 20 people, were issued 30 days of suspension by the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB).
The said order affected the 35 bus units under the franchises owned by Super Lines Bus, 6 Isarog Lines and 2 from BLTB Co.

As part of administrative moves to deal with this tragic accident, the said bus units shall have to pass road worthiness tests while the drivers will undergo re-training and drug testing.

This accident in Atimonan injured 57.

The road mishap happened when a 10-wheeler truck hit the back portion of the Super Lines bus.
