Mark Solis: UP student may lose degree course

Mark Joseph Solis seemingly shook the world of the rights advocates, including the Philippine's national university after a media buzz surfaced pertaining to a photo plagiarism, which he committed just recently. Apparently, the fresh off the pan case of a stolen photo was not Mark's first; He did it many times before, sources said.
Although UP President Alfredo E. Pascual already issued an official statement for Mark Solis' case, the latter is seen to face another sad consequence - he may lose his degree once UP issues final decision next month.

UP Diliman chancellor, Dr. Caesar Saloma said in a text message:
The UPD decision will feature not only the finding of guilt but also the corresponding penalty for the violation
For proven dishonesty cases, penalties could range from one-year suspension, dishonorable dismissal from the University, to withdrawal of degree by the University
Mr. Solis will be given the chance to defend himself as the decision making goes on.

A fact finding report was submitted by the UP National College of Public Administration and Governance (UP NCPAG) to the UP Diliman Chancellor. After a careful perusal of the document, the university will decide on what it is going to be for Mark Joseph Solis.
