European Space Agency's satellite to hit earth

A news saying there will be a satellite likely to hit earth has been spreading since last week. European Space Agency (ESA) said, this is one of their satellites that ran out of fuel.

The agency says, it may crush on earth - into the ocean, within an unpopulated area.

The satellite is expected to land on earth between 1830 GMT Sunday and 0030 GMT on Monday (1:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. EST).

The European Space Agency's satellite to hit earth has been identified as GOCE, as per information shared by ESA Spokeswoman Jocelyne Landeau.

Goce represents "Gravity Field and Steady-State Ocean Circulation Explorer". It was launched in 2009.
