  • 5-inch (12.7 cm) high definition display (Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chip)
  • up to 17 hours of talk time
  • 8 megapixel rear camera
At the moment, Nexus 5 is available in the US, Canada, UK, Australia, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Japan and Korea. There is no probable time yet when will it become available in other Asian countries like Philippines but one thing was hinted, it will be soon available in India.

How much is the Google Nexus 5 going? For now, its SRP starts at $349, about 15,000 Philippine Peso.

Dubbed as "smarter and more immersive", Google Nexus 5 is also compatible with low-end Android phones. With the latest version of KitKat, Android can now run on devices with lower RAMs, say 512MB and the like.

Google made a significant leap with this new Nexus series. This new device taps the glory of search engines and the benefits of virtual assistants. Perhaps a stronger embrace on crowd sourcing, Google is now a step ahead in learning mobile phone users' habits and views on certain products. It is Google's way of generating more relevant ads and information in the online mobile markets.

The concept also translates to better opportunities in advertising and of course, revenue.

Google Nexus 5 hopes to divert people's choices over Apple products.
