US Veterans Day 2013, events and ceremonies

November 11 marks the US Veterans Day, where the nation commemorate the occasion by having ceremonies, monument dedications and other related activities.
In New York, parades will be done. The commemoration will include series of ceremonies at the Eternal Light Monument in Madison Square Park.

In Washington DC, the District of Columbia will be conducting a program to honor their Tuskegee Airmen with the Congressional Gold Medal for Veterans Day.

Veterans Day observation in Oklahoma will include a program dedicated to the veterans who fought in Vietnam. In a dedication service at Enid's Woodring Regional Airport, Col. Lee Ellis (former Vietnam prisoner of war) will be delivering a speech.

US Veterans Day is officially being observed on the 11th of November. During this important day in America, some stores or establishments do close their services. The schools also do the same.

Veterans Day is also celebrated in other countries to honor their war veterans.
