Mansoura Egypt: Strong bomb explodes, kills 13

At least 13 died while more than 100 others were injured during the explosion of a 'powerful' car bomb, which exploded on Tuesday, state media reports.
The blast brought down security headquarter buildings in an Egyptian city, Mansoura.

Tuesday's bomb explosion is the strongest of its kind that ever hit the Nile Delta city of Mansoura, Egyptian authorities stated.

Egypt prime minister Hazem Beblawi called the attack an act of terrorism. On the other hand, it brought urgency to the officials to really push through with the planned referendum on Egypt's new constitution.

Cars in the perimeters of the car bomb explosion were set ablaze, while metal debris and fragmented glasses spread all over the place.

The explosion took place at 1 a.m.
