Pinoys visa exempted in Myanmar by Jan. 2014

Myanmar and The Philippines have just entered into an agreement over a visa exemption. Effective January 4, 2014, Filipinos will no longer need visa to travel to Myanmar.
The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said, Pinoys can even stay there for 14 days.

Myanmar President U Thein Sein visited Philippines and met President Aquino on Dec. 5. Aquino said, the visa free agreement is hoped to give more opportunities to appreciate the beauty of Myanmar and at the same time, boost cultural exchange between the two countries.

The visa exemption is seen as a catalyst to boost tourism in Myanmar and Philippines.
