Undefeated Bellator Champ Ben Askren Signs with One FC

Ben Askren, Bellator's former undefeated welterweight champion inked a deal with the Asia's largest Mixed Martial Arts promotion organization ONE Fighting Championship (One FC).
Lately, there has been a lot of buzzes on Askren's status as a fighter.

On November 14 (Thurs), Bellator MMA released the welterweight champion, making him a free agent.

Sometime in August, Bellator even hinted of letting go of Ben Askren to fight in UFC. But what materialized, just now is something different. Askren decided to join Asia's MMA biggest fighters den.

On Monday Ben announced his sealing of the deal with One FC through a Tweet:
Moreover, Ben Askren joined "one of the premier fight teams in Asia" - Evolve MMA.

Evolve MMA owner Chatri Sityodtong even said:
I believe that Ben is one of the best welterweights in the world and it is a fantastic opportunity for our existing fighters on the Evolve Fight Team to learn from Ben, and for Ben to train under the most decorated team of world champion instructors in the world

Now this is another addition to the fantastic set of fighters in One FC to watch out for in the coming years. Askren is a "..two-time NCAA Division One champion" and a gold medalist in a "..grappling world championships in 2009", bearing a record of 12-0.
