Your contents were scraped? Here comes Google scraper report system

If you have been seeing your blog contents or articles being scraped by some malicious persons and sites out there, this is your pretty chance to get even or at least, alert Google to go after them.

Although, it goes similar to DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act), the Google scraper report system is way much of a shorter process if we try to compare.

Content Thief

Seeing a part, or worse the whole texts of your writings in other sites / blogs without any credits or something, can be really frustrating. And it will be disgusting if the practice keeps on going while all you can do is just sit there and wait what's going to happen next.

You can file DMCA to Google but the process can be time consuming.

With Google scraper report, you can share your original content's URL and the URL of the copying party's site, including the search results page. Google will do the rest.

Just yesterday, we raised a case in one of the Facebook groups we are a member of. We found that several of Barako Newsline's contents are constantly being scraped by another site. Take a look at the screenshot below:

We already did what had to be done on our part and we hope something good will be up in a short while or maybe a few days from now.

So if you wonder how to report a content scraping site to Google, Google scraper report has just landed.

The tool was announced by Google’s web spam team Matt Cutts via Twitter:
