Burger King baby finds birth mother via social media.. a momentous reunification

The 'Burger King Baby' was only hours old when her mother left her inside the Burger King bathroom in Allentown, Pennsylvania. By employing a search campaign on the Internet, she finally found her biological mother.

Katheryn Deprill is now 27 years and with a family of her own - a mother of three. She started her search on March 2 by posting this message on her Facebook page:
Looking for my birth mother. ... She abandoned me in the Burger King bathroom only hours old, Allentown PA. Please help me find her by sharing my post.
This was the photo Deprill posted online:

The netizens went out of their way and responded to the request. Deprill's post was shared over 30k times. It even reached several news lines.

Unknowingly, Deprill's mother also started a search of her own about six months ago. She wanted to find her daughter she once gave up.

Through the help of lawyer John Waldron, Deprill's mother asked for an arranged meeting with her lost daughter.

In the momentous meeting, the mother and daughter finally had the chance to embrace each other. It was full of joy, drama and excitement. The sense of attachment between the separated family for almost 30 years was intense.

Deprill described her resemblance to his mother as:
It looked like I was looking in a mirror
And she was more than thankful to have gotten the kind of hug she wanted for the last 27 years:
I got the hug that I had wanted for the last 27 years, and that broke the ice
I asked if I could have it, and she said, 'absolutely,' and just held her arms open, and the rest is history.
Burger King baby - Katheryn Deprill and 7-month-old son, were accompanied by foster parents during the reunification.
