Dennise Lazaro fought through pain to help team get first UAAP women's volleyball crown

Ateneo Lady Eagles beat La Salle Lady Spikers in the UAAP Season 76 women's volleyball finals.

Dennise Lazaro or 'Den' / 'Denden' as her teammates call her, played with an injured leg. Her left ankle was twisted during Game 2. She went through the fight; Her team took the 3rd Game as well, then Game 4.

Dennise Lazaro, practically played with just one leg. But due to determination, she still did her usual ought-to-do things - chase, roll over and deliver what has to be delivered for her team to get the UAAP Season 76 women's volleyball crown.

The UAAP Season 76 women's volleyball Game 4 was held at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on Sunday. Lazaro brought her team to beat the three-time defending champions La Salle.

In an interview, Dennise was thankful that her  team's hard work paid off:
Sobrang overwhelming, sobrang fulfilling na umabot kami sa point na ito
Sa start ng season, mababa lang 'yung goal namin, mag Final Four. 'Yung hardwork talaga, nag pay off.
The awards - Best Digger and Best Receiver of the season were also given to Dennise Lazaro for her 'best year ever in an Ateneo uniform.' (
