OFW from Maguindanao who died of Mers-CoV buried in KSA

The OFW from Maguindanao who died of Mers-CoV was buried in KSA due to quarantine restrictions, national news said on Sunday, April 20.


The Middle Eastern Respiratory Syndrome-Coronavirus (Mers-CoV) has been giving Saudi health bureau serious issues since its emergence in the country sometime in 2012.

The victims of Mers-CoV are known to suffer acute respiratory illnesses such as:

  1. fever
  2. cough, and 
  3. shortness of breath  
So far, out of the 206 listed victims of the disease, half of them have suffered death already.

The 44-year old victim from the province of Maguindanao was confined at the King Fahd Hospital in Jeddah. She died on April 12.
