Blood Moon to bring rare lunar eclipses from April 15, 2014

Blood moon brings at least four (4) lunar eclipses and it starts in just less than 10 days from now. NASA called the phenomenon as a 'tetrad', which means four blood moons in a row.

The blood moons have been labeled as 'rare' because of its kind of occurrence timing. According to past events of this kind, there was one in 1492, followed by another one after 457 years (1949).

During blood moons, there will be a distinct reddish and rust-colored lines or stripes across the moon. It can be viewed with just the naked eye.

The blood moon coincides with the Jewish festivals of Passover and Sukkot in 2014 and 2015. (Source)
