Napoles' medical surgery started from 8:00 AM until 10:00 AM.

In a press conference, Dr. Efren Domingo, an obstetrician-gynecologist and gynecologist-oncologist, said the surgical team removed Janet's uterus and two ovaries. Domingo added:
The operation was uneventful. We performed a total hysterectomy… We are happy about the outcome
Contrary to a previous diagnosis, Janet Napoles did not have a cyst in her uterus but rather a tumor.
It is a tumor in the uterus whereby the blood of the trail cavity enters into myometrium and creates blood lakes in the myometrium. And in addition, the myometrium creates tumor, or myomas (Domingo)
Napoles is now in the recovery room, where she is expected to stay from 6 to 12 hours.

The operation was suspended by Napoles, owing to meet with Justice Secretary Leila de Lima first, where she spilled the beans on who were the persons involved in the controversial pork barrel scam.
