South Korea ferry accident death toll - latest as of April 22

The sinking of a South Korean ferry on Wednesday last week was enough of a tragedy, but then a couple of mind-crippling events followed.

First was the suicide committed by the school principal whose students were reportedly dead, while some are still missing due to the maritime accident.

Then today, a news broke out that the death toll has surpassed the 100 mark, media releases say on Tuesday (April 22).

The death toll data was released by South Korea's coast guard - deaths: 104, missing: 198.

Estimates say, the toll could reach around 300.
