Cathay Pacific Airways cancels all flights to Karachi, Pakistan

This week, Cathay Pacific Airways had to cancel all of its flights to Karachi, originating from Bangkok due to series of airport violence.

In the weekend, Cathay Pacific had to issue flight suspension twice when a siege in Karachi was carried out by armed men wearing military uniforms. At least thirty four people died during the attack.

Reported by The Nation, Pakistan, Cathay Pacific passengers were advised to keep a constant monitoring of the news and updates regarding their flights before departure.

The Pakistani chapters of Taliban claimed responsibility over Sunday's major incident.

According to a security analyst based in Islamabad, the main goal of the Talibans is to disturb the financial and economic hubs of Pakistan.
