Mr. World 2014: Danish carpenter wins the title

Mr. World 2014 just got a new name for the title - a 23-year old Danish carpenter from Brondby, Copenhagen.

The world pageant for men was held on Sunday. Dane Nicklas Pedersen defeated the 45 other contenders in the contest. Next to him is Emmanuel Ifeanyi Ikubese from Nigeria. The third place was won by Mexico's Jose Pablo Minor.

Pedersen's big dream is to establish his own carpentry company someday. He is also interested in acting.

Among the early favorite contestants in Mr. World 2014 are Bogdan Mierla of Romania, Alberto Horacio Martines Kezner of Puerto Rico, and Prateik Jain of India.

Mr. World is a biennial competition for the aspiring men around the world. The contenders are to undergo five (5) challenges - 'sports, talent, fashion and style, multimedia and extreme'. The grand winner shall receive a prize of $50,000.
