Ukraine president Petro Poroshenko offers unilateral ceasefire

The troops of Ukraine president Petro Poroshenko offered a unilateral ceasefire to the pro-Russian separatists as a chance to surrender or move out of the country.

This is perhaps one of the many steps to a peace process between Ukraine and Russia, as the latter's supporters intensify in the eastern part of Ukraine.

President Poroshenko's proposal was somewhat discussed after a telephone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

President Poroshenko was quoted to have said:
The plan will begin with my order for a unilateral cease-fire.
..shortly afterward the plan will receive support from the other participants.
The separatists so far, seized government establishments, including buildings. It even declared independence in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Eastern Ukraine.

Meanwhile, President Poroshenko is determined to pursue a peace negotiation and award amnesty to the separatists.
