Taiwan Plane Crash: 51 dead in Taiwan plane crash due to failed emergency landing

Taiwan Plane Crash (TAIPEI) Wednesday -- Initial report says a plain crashed in Taiwan due to a failed emergency landing, killing at least 51 people on the spot, Taiwan's Central News Agency said.

The news was received from Taiwan's Civil Aviation Administration. The plain is reportedly being operated by TransAsia Airways, a Taiwanese airline.

On board the aircraft were a total of 54 passengers plus four crews; Seven of those luckily survived but injured.

The plain attempted to make an emergency landing in the city of Magong.

"Fifty-one people are feared dead and seven people injured", Taiwan's Civil Aeronautics Administration Shen Chi told media.
