Typhoon Henry enters PH but no direct effect says weather bureau

Typhoon Henry is now in the country but gives no direct effect on the country, state weather bureau PAGASA said in a statement on Saturday morning.

Typhoon Henry News updates

Henry is a tropical storm, which came after the exit of Typhoon Glenda.

In a weather update at around 5:00 AM Saturday, PAGASA spotted Henry at 620 kilometers east of Guiuan, Eastern Samar as of 4 a.m. This has also been reported on ABS-CBN News.

Weather officer  Esperanza Cayanan assured the public that Typhoon Henry is not going to cross the country, unlike Glenda, which battered huge portions of the Visayas regions, extending towards parts of Luzon.

While at that, the weather phenomenon is going to enhance the southwest monsoon (Habagat).

Cloudy skies and light to moderate rainshowers, with occasional thunderstorms may be experienced across the Philippine archipelago.
