Wimbledon 2014: Serena Williams out of Tuesday match due to 'a viral illness'

Wimbledon 2014 news and updates: In a surprising turn of event, US superstar Serena Williams had to retire from a match on Tuesday due  to an illness she was diagnosed of.

About to go on for a doubles match against Kristina Barrois and Stephanie Voegele, Williams committed 'four double faults in her first service game', said Yahoo! Sports.

Umpire Kader Nouni had to approach the American players for a short consultation; Nouni then announced that Williams is to retire from the match due to the abovementioned illness.

According to Women's Tennis Association (WTA), Williams was suffering from a certain viral illness.
