Man dies for going after a mic to sing 'My Way' on videoke

A construction worker in the Philippines, in Legaspi City, Albay in particular, died due to stabs he suffered from his fellow worker.

While on a videoke jam, the two tried to go after the microphone to sing Frank Sinatra's 'My Way' first.

In a report delivered on GMA news "24 Oras", the victim was identified as Policardo Ricamara. He and his co-worker Sammy Dacutanan Jr. were in a drinking session too. Upon return to the construction site, Dacutanan suddenly stabbed Ricamara.

Due to similar incidents like this, some restaurants even decided to remove the song 'My Way' in their song books to avoid any future conflicts.

As such, it is important to note that there are also similar cases of Karaoke (videoke) rage incidences in other countries. In the year 2008 in Malaysia, a man in a coffee shop was stabbed to death by other customers due to microphone turns. In Thailand, a guy admitted he shot about eight (8) people due to a repeated renditions of John Denver's "Take Me Home, Country Roads".
