Pentax K-S1 Gets Futuristic Facelift: Specs, Colors, Prices

Pentax K-S1, a middle range DSLR (Digital Single-lens Reflex) camera just got a makeover, sporting a 'futuristic' kind of aesthetic improvement, August 27 (Wed) Ricoh announced.

The KS-1 offers a few functional new things, plus a noticeable add-on of a set of green LEDs on the camera's grip and power switch, called 'illumination interface system'.

At first, it may appear as not so significant but the lighting is some sort of an attention-grabber, in a sense, DPreview noted in its article. The lights pulse as the camera's mode changes; They turn to red when the gadget is on video mode.

- 20.1 MP APS-C sensor
- AA filter simulator (similar to Pentax K-3)
- Burst shooting at 5.4 fps
- 100% coverage optical viewfinder with 0.95x magnification

- Built-in shake reduction
