This data released by Women and Children Protection Center of the Philippine National Police (PNP-WCPC) speaks quite a lot.

In 2013, it was found that Region IV-A registered the most rape cases (833). Region IV-A is comprised by the provinces of Batangas, Cavite, Laguna, Quezon and Rizal. 

The National Capitol Region followed with the figure 599 (cases), then Region VI with 582, Region V (538), and Region III (484).

Meanwhile, the Autonomous Region for Muslim Mindanao took the lowest account, 29 cases according to the PNP-WCPC data.

Other regions in the Philippines:
  • Region IX = 103
  • Region VIII = 104
  • Region XII = 150
In terms of violence against women (VAW), ARMM was also found having the least number of cases, that is, 6 in 2013.
