4.0 magnitude earthquake shakes Sabah east coast

A 4.0 magnitude quake rattled the east coast of Sabah at around 9 AM on Friday, Malay Mail Online reported.

The town of Kunak felt the tremors, which lasted for several seconds, Abdul Malek Tussin of Sabah Meteorological Department said.

The epicenter could be some 11km south of Kunak, Tussin added.

Other areas affected by the jolts were Lahad Datu, Semporna and Tawau.

So far, no damages were reported.
