This could be one of worst scenes that you can encounter in the streets of Metro Manila, but how far should these irresponsible individuals and practices go?

Yesterday, while traversing Quirino Avenue in Manila, celebrity blogger Chuckie Dreyfus spotted this woman riding an electric bike with three little kids as passengers, wearing no protective gears on.
We saw this along Quirino Ave., Manila yesterday. Along a f***ing busy main road!
Seriously? No traffic officer or police to pull them up? Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't this illegal and unsafe???
Too bad they turned a corner before we were able to grab the plate number. Grabe. Such an irresponsible adult putting young lives at risk. Mga tulad niyan ang masarap kutusan sa ulo ng matindi.

With all the dangers and possible accidents this might lead to, the seemingly very relaxed and even uncontrolled proliferation of electric bikes like this is alarming.

The product distributors maybe licensed to do so, but then rules on the future use of the vehicles should still stick to what is legally governing the urban roadways.

Let alone lack of safety awareness and observance of the woman photographed, plying the roads with the other speeding vehicles does not seem to look right.

Perhaps, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA), Land Transportation Office (LTO), Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) should take a deeper look into this subject.

Is this another loophole in our existing laws? What are your opinions?
