Japanese company and Myanmar university forge technological cooperation

Japan's Mitsubishi Electric Corporation and Yangon Technological University (YTU) of Myanmar is set to realize a technological cooperation through academic internship, from December this year to February 2015.

The program is hoped to improve human resources development in Myanmar.

The said internship program is Myanmar's first with Japan.

Moreover, Myanmar also signed an agreement with Japan's Kansai University for a students exchange program for academic information and publication. It will be in October 2015.

Japan and Myanmar also signed a memorandum of understanding in upgrading the latter's technological universities. Japan will be providing an aid worth 25 million US dollars for the said project. It is slated for July next year.
