Who would have thought that this could happen?

Alex Nash was asked to pay the sum of £15.95, and the mandatory asking came with an invoice slipped into his school bag by his teacher, as per request by the birthday boy's mother.

"She saw me and asked if Alex was coming to the party..  At this time I agreed and said that Alex was looking forward to it.", Mr. Nash said.

According to Alex's dad, he RSVP’d to the party invite but realized later on that his son would not be able to attend after all.

"By this time we did not have a contact number, email or an address to let [the boy’s mother] know.", Mr. Nash continued.

Instead of Alex Nash's family receiving a friendly notice for a possible amicable settlement, he was sent with this:

Hoping to clear things out, Mr. Nash visited the mother who issued the invoice. He said he would not be paying the bill.

However, the birthday boy's mother threatened Mr. Nash to take things to a court if the the amount is not paid. (Source: Yahoo Canada)
