Japan Cherry Blossom Forecast 2015

During the blooming time, Japan observes a seasonal spring tradition called "Hanami" or cherry blossom viewing. It is a custom which dates back to Nara Period (710–794).

In a Hanami, people do  picnics under a blooming sakura or "ume" (Prunus mume) tree.

Families, friends and visitors including foreign nationals do barbecues, drinking, partying and the like under the beautiful blooming flowers.
