VIRAL: Man establishes unique bond with wild croc (Video)

Man and wild animals can be best buddies! Do you agree?

Well, perhaps, not your usual kind of story to stumble but somehow, a unique bond went on between local man named Chito Shedden and a wild crocodile.

Chito and Pocho

Some 20 years ago, Shedden found a giant croc dying on the banks of Parasmina River in Costa Rica. It was believed to be shot by a certain farmer in the area.

The animal was starving. It needed immediate aid. Since Shedden has the innate love for animals, he took to his instinct to take care of the beast.

"I love all animals, especially ones that have suffered.", Chito told media.

"I just wanted him to feel that someone loved him, that not all humans are bad", Chito added.

He named the crocodile, "Pocho".

He had no idea what was going to bloom in the coming days. He went to nurse the suffering animal until it regained its strength.

One day, Chito felt he had to put Pocho back into the river.

To Chito's surprise, he found Pocho sleeping on his veranda the next morning. Apparently, it followed him home in the middle of the night.

A bond of new best friends started. They would spend the day swimming in the river outside Chito's home.

So with permission from the Minister of Environment, Chito was granted to look after Pocho.

Sadly, the two had to part ways in 2011. Pocho died at the age of 50.

Chito was saddened by the demise of his buddy croc but he went on by sharing his wonderful story to make people aware, that maybe crocodiles are special in some other ways.

Here is a video showing Chito and Pocho having some bonding in the river:
