MMDA chair Tolentino announces senatorial bid for 2016 elections

Manila -- So it's official! Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) chairman Francis Talentino formally announced his bid for the Senatorial race, comes Philippine Elections 2016, Tuesday in front of Cavite leaders.

Among the politicians present were Gov. Jonvic Remulla, Vice Gov. Jolo Revilla, 4th District Rep. Elpidio Barzaga Jr., 2nd District Rep. Lani Mercado and Imus City Mayor Emmanuel Maliksi.

Tolentino's supporters hail from different political parties. It can be noted that Remulla is with the Nacionalista Party, Lani Mercado and son Jolo are with Lakas, while Barzaga is with the National Unity Party.


Meanwhile, Tolentino is among the picks of Quezon City Rep. Winston Castelo in his senatorial slate, as per announcement he made last weekend.

Tolentino, who once served as Tagaytay City mayor, will be filing his resignation as MMDA chair in the next few days.
